Modern Israel

It can be disturbing to a Christian, whose interest is Bible Prophecy, to observe how little people really understand about how the Bible pertains to Israel and the Jews. Even people who call themselves Christians. 

As a case in point, on a Facebook Messenger group I follow, a lady posted this question this morning: “To all Christians that believe Israel is God's chosen, why do they not celebrate the birth of Christ, the crucifixion, the true blood line of Judah do”

In one sentence, she cast doubt on modern Israel being the true Israel, the modern Jews being real Jews, and them being His Chosen People. That was one huge chunk of ‘misinformation’ and lack of Biblical and Prophetic understanding in less time than it would take to eat a couple of Smarties. It is also satanic, dangerous, misleading ‘replacement theology’. Replacement theology's main tenet is that gentile Christians have been allowed to take the place of the Jews because the Jews denied the Lord and put Him to death on the cross.

That is a dead stop right there. It is one hundred and ten percent wrong.

We all put Christ to death on the cross! None of us are innocent! We all have sinned and are sinners so He allowed Himself to be sacrificed for the forgiveness of all of our sins! 

Do not think Christians will ever take the place of the Jews! There is a Biblical concept called dispensationalism, and it specifically deals with Christians on one side, and Jews on the other. God has not and will never forget or forsake His Chosen People, the Jews.

We, the Gentiles, have not replaced the Jews. Far from it! Chapter 11 of Romans makes it very clear that we are grafted in to the vine. The Jews are the vine, and remain. We are the graft. Thus, the olive tree is comprised of both of us, Jew and Gentile! Praise God for that adoption!

The Jews have their carefully hewn, eternally dedicated place in God’s Creation and calendar. The Lion of Judah is far from being done with His permanent Nation of Israel. 

In a quick aside here, I have run into a thing on YouTube different times where black people will say they are the true Israel and/or only they will be saved and all white or Oriental people will go to Hell. There is a strong teaching and following of this out there, and it is exceedingly dangerous for the hatred it foments. That is seed sown straight from the pit of Hell! It is wicked and deceitful. I encountered it again a few days ago and it lit my temper and this was my response:

Oh, man, I hate that garbage and speak out against it whenever I see it. The very last place racism belongs is Christianity. I'm not much of a one for judging one's Salvation as I normally consider that a matter between God and the individual. However, we are allowed and even encouraged to judge the fruit of the spirit because it can be very revealing, and the spirit that that stuff comes in is hateful, divisive, deceitful, condemning, prideful, and haughty. None of those are attributes of God. They come from the devil. Any true Christian knows that the last thing God is limited by is the colour of your skin! We have and will have Brothers and Sisters of every colour or shade, every nation or language, every walk of life high or low, every age, every mentality from Mensa geniuses to almost unaware of their own existence, every size and shape, etc... and we gladly and rejoicingly welcome all of them! God put the Breath of Life into all of us. Some people get a 'free pass' upon death such as little children and the mentally retarded, but it is up to the rest of us to accept the Bread of Life. Nobody can do it for you, and certainly nobody can undo it simply because they don't want you to be there. Do not ever allow someone to make you think you aren't Saved if you truly believe in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God and King of kings and Lord of lords, as the ransom for your sins. When He said, "It is finished", it most definitely was. He did His part that can never be undone. The rest is only up to your belief and acceptance of that immeasurable free Gift of eternal life through Him. 

Jeremiah 30:3 For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

Amos 9:14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.

Jeremiah 16:14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

15 But, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers.

Ezekiel 11:17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

Deuteronomy 30:1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath driven thee,

2 And shalt return unto the Lord thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;

3 That then the Lord thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the Lord thy God hath scattered thee.

4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the Lord thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:

5 And the Lord thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.

Prophecies about the restoration of Israel goes on and on. God declared again and again He would indeed restore Israel after she was lost and her people scattered abroad. When God says one thing once it is enough. When He repeats it multiple times in multiple ways, you can only miss it through ignorance or hate. 

Bible scholars in the 1800's and the early 1900's didn't understand all the future Daniel and Revelation Prophecies about Israel. Why? Because it didn't exist! It hadn't existed for nearly 2000 years! How could all that Prophecy come to pass on a nation that was no more? All those Prophecies didn't make much sense to people living at that time. They couldn't. But, on May 14, 1948, after the Holocaust in WWII, the new nation of Israel was declared, to serve as the homeland for the Jewish people. It was called the State of Israel. Much, much Prophecy was fulfilled in that, and it became known in Prophecy watcher circles as the 'Super Sign'. All of Daniel and Revelation suddenly made sense because ISRAEL WAS BACK!

Do not allow yourself to fall prey to the demonic lie that modern Israel isn't the true Israel and the modern Jews aren't the Jews of the Bible, because they most certainly are, and always will be and Bible Prophecy has been and is being fulfilled in them. And do not ever think, for one moment, that we Christians ever take the place of the Jews. We are grafted in to the same vine.
