𝒃𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅, 𝑰 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒔 𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔

 

You never know someone until they somehow reveal their true heart. We had that very experience last evening and it wasn't a pleasant one.

We 𝑢𝑠𝑒𝑑 to belong to a group that met once a week to discuss how to do homesteader-style prepping. That was, until last night.

Things were going well until almost the end when the leader got up and started talking about the "poor 'palestinians'" and "how evil Israel and Netanyahu are", "bombing them". Not one word about how that came to be. "We're all for the 'palestinians' here, aren't we, and how evil Israel is, right?" Murmurs and more vocal general consensus.

"Not us. We stand for Israel". My one hand was up and my other hand was pointing at Sharon.

"What?" He didn't seem to believe his ears.

"We stand for Israel. They are God's Chosen People". Now things turned ugly. People denied that as truth. I responded, "The Bible is all 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 Israel, start to finish".

One woman yelled at me, what Bible do 𝑦𝑜𝑢 read?!"

"THE Bible!" Wow.

"WHOA! Whoa...", the leader tried to settle things down.

She wasn't done. "When Israel is destroyed... " She looked Middle Eastern and spoke with unmistakable hatred in her voice.

NOPE. Not having any of that. "Israel will 𝑛𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 be destroyed!"

Except for Sharon, I was standing alone. From the back, the man who had been the key speaker that evening spoke up: "That gentleman is right. The Bible is all about God's people Israel. There are a couple of chapters in Ezekiel; 37 and 38, that talk about countries going together against Israel. Iran and Russia and... and... " His memory momentarily failed him.

I helped him out; "Turkey".

"Yes, Turkey, and other countries going against Israel, and it looks like a certain win and Israel being destroyed but it doesn't happen". That guy reads the same Bible I do.

The leader's wife piped in and said that almost nobody living in Israel is a Jew, therefore the nation of Israel doesn't exist. Such baloney. It wasn't even replacement theology garbage. It was just lies and hatred of Israel and the Jews. Someone else said that the area was always 'palestinian'. Then there was the hatred, "The Jews own all of the banks and do all the evil things of the world" gutter fill. My mind was already made up.

𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒔 12:3 𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝑰 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒆: 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒃𝒆 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅.

Remaining part of this group who's leader 𝑎𝑛𝑑 wife were 𝑏𝑜𝑡ℎ against Israel would only bring God's anger and wrath upon us. There would be no blessing for us being part of 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡. If a few in the group were that way, that's one thing. We can agree to disagree, but when the majority and the 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠ℎ𝑖𝑝 revealed themselves to be, it is absolutely time to part company. They prayed vaguely to the Lord to open the meetings, but they obviously don't know Him and His first love. There are so many verses about the permanent state of Israel and God's steadfast love and patience for them.

Not one word was said about the demonically heinous massacre on October 7 2023 that brought about the conditions that Gazans have found themselves in. I wasn't given the chance, almost drowned out for everything I said. No word or sympathy for babies being microwaved, grandmothers shot on their doorsteps, women kidnapped and raped to death, hostages held for almost a year and then murdered instead of left behind when IDF soldiers closed in on those savages holding them... nothing. Just "the poor 'palestinians'".

I glanced over to the key speaker's position. He wasn't there anymore. He had gotten up and left. In disgust, I expect. We should have gotten up and left as well, but we grimly toughed out the last few minutes. It couldn't be over soon enough. It finally was and we gratefully got up and headed to the door for the last time.

I didn't look back. In hindsight, Lot's wife did and look what happened to her.

We are few, Christians. People can say they are Christian, but if they keep talking, you just may find out they're not. There is no way we will participate in that group again. We thought we were among friends. They clearly proved we serve different masters. The hatred for and denial of God's Chosen People revealed itself to us in unmistakable fashion there last night. It just stunned us in its vitriol and vehemence.

We were unwittingly in the midst of a bunch of antisemites. At the very least deniers of the genesis of God's People Israel, and apologists for absolutely 𝑑𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑛𝑖𝑐 butchers and the people that begat them. Would they have denied the Holocaust too? Or justified it?

The drive home was in shock and sadness.

𝑳𝒖𝒌𝒆 10:3 𝑮𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔: 𝒃𝒆𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅, 𝑰 𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉 𝒂𝒔 𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒔 𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒘𝒐𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒔.

Those words sure hit home for me last night. The sifting continues. Wheat from the tares.

𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 1:1 𝑩𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒘𝒂𝒍𝒌𝒆𝒕𝒉 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒍 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒐𝒅𝒍𝒚, 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔, 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒕𝒉 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒏𝒇𝒖𝒍.

Blessed I want to be. There is an opposite for knowing and yet not heeding; being stubbornly disobedient, and thereby being cursed.

For the mere fact that group is by and large against God's Holy Land and His Chosen People I refuse to be any more part of it. For the 𝑎𝑑𝑑𝑒𝑑 fact that knowing different and yet continuing, I would bring God's anger upon myself and Sharon makes it doubly, triply... many times more so.
