  We were told in the Bible that there would be a falling away in the last days, but what I am seeing just astounds me.  I always thought the deception we were warned about would be so subtle and insidiously sneaky that even the most savvy, Bible centered Christian could be fooled. It turns out the deception is gross, in your face, vividly and diametrically in opposition to God's Word.  The Good Book tells us that the Lord is " the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever", and that " Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning".  The world tells us, though, that God changes to suit the whims of the earth. Oprah Winfrey, who has millions of followers, says, "God is whoever you want him to be". So the Creator is moulded by the creation? Matthew 7:22   Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23   And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. "I never knew you: depart from me".  I'm going to say flat out those are the scariest words in the Bible to me. They are condemning, and FINAL. And their end is only Hell for eternity. That just chills me to the bone. And those people were expecting to be in Heaven. Here is a very different kind of divine sentence:  Romans 1 21  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, ...
