Silence of the Monkeys
I am tired of being told to keep my mouth shut because I don't toe the line. I just ended a 20 year friendship for that. I didn't like doing so. I didn't want to do so. It was his idea, not mine. My opinions and experiences were "$h!t", but his mattered. That's what tore it for me. I will not be cowed. I will not be marginalized. I will not be censored. Every opinion counts, even if it goes against the beloved, New Religion of, 'Just Line Up and Take It!' That's the constantly pressed home narrative of today, coming from the usual suspects that we long ago learned not to trust anyway.
Have you not opened your eyes and taken a look around this past 18 months? Don't be fooled: Don't fall for the carrot on a string of 'if you do this, we can return to normal' or 'if you do that we can return to normal'. 'Two weeks to flatten the curve' has turned into a year and a half, with no letup in sight. Staying home didn't do it. Wearing masks didn't do it. 'Social distancing' didn't do it. $888.00 fines didn't do it. Plexiglass barriers everywhere didn't do it. The first shot didn't do it. The second shot didn't do it. They're telling us the booster shot won't do it. Neither will the ones after that.
I can't believe there are so many people still saying, "When this is all over..." It doesn't matter how many paper hoops our zoo keepers-turned-circus ringleaders pop up in front of them; they will blindly jump through them in eager anticipation of what's on the other side. And what's on the other side is never going to be anything other than another paper hoop obstacle. It's just astounding, and ever so much more so depressing, to watch how easy it is to turn what I thought were independent human beings with hopes and dreams of their own, into obediently and submissively performing circus animals with no dignity remaining whatsoever.
Don't be fooled. Look at the permanency of installations at places like Walmart and Home Depot. They didn't invest all that money in steel and plexiglass and decals and signage and tshirts and print ads and public address systems for something that was only going to be temporary. Their shareholders would have a 𝘧𝘪𝘵 if that was true.
Look around. This isn't a free world anymore, it's a 𝘻𝘰𝘰. And we're the chimpanzees, holding our manacled hands out for our next banana. We have been 𝘱𝘰𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥, people, and our captors are the law 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘦𝘳𝘴, not the law makers. If we suddenly all became gorillas instead of monkeys, we could turn on our illegal keepers and utterly 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘺 the artificial habitat we're held captive in--𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵.
Alas, we won't, because we'd collectively rather trust and depend on the steady, bland fare the zookeepers provide that ripped us out of the huge, free world we once knew and threw us in 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. Nature and our natural freedom and ability, as God created it for us, evidently isn't worth sacrificing a few bleeding fingers for to rip down the illegal bars that constrain us.
Because of that collective willingness to submit, this is our "normal" now, folks: 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘭, because 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 what it's all about, not your precious individual health. If the powers that be 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 cared about your health--because it includes so much more than just your resistance to one family of bugs--they wouldn't be doing this to you at all! They wouldn't give you the heartache of not being able to see loved ones. They wouldn't give you the frustration of not being able to do what you want. They wouldn't give you the anxiety of losing your job. They wouldn't harass you at your place of business or worship. And they wouldn't pressure you to inject a chemical concoction into your body that is hurting and killing thousands upon thousands in the immediate. That is to say nothing about who knows how many will turn out injured or killed as their future unfolds. Or fails to because they die from it.
A TV station in Detroit recently asked for stories of the unvaxxed dying of the dreaded virus. It backfired spectacularly as they instead received over one hundred and eighty thousand responses of vaccine injuries and deaths. All that response to one news outlet alone.
For the love of everything good, wake up.
